Over forty (40+) years ago, the sign pictured above — was mounted out-in-front of our Ist-location, on Preston Avenue (Charlottesville, VA): and it still hangs, behind our counter — in our shop today.

A couple of years later (ca. 1987), we moved across the street into the 'Ol Monticello Dairy (left pic): and we stayed there for next 30+ years. Then, in 2018, we moved to our current location (right pic) on Harris Street.

But, even though our location has changed over-the-years — the important stuff has not. It was, and it remains — nothing fancy: Just great products, good prices — served in a kind way, and with a genuine effort to ~Do Right by People~ (like, you know — in the way we would want someone to ~Do Right by Us~). And you know what: It actually works !!

Now, okay — sure: Maybe it hasn't worked as-good-as those two (2)

20-somethings in the Ist-pic (above) thought it was going work (i.e., at some level, those two goofballs — actually might've been thinkin', "We're gonna get rich!"): But, darn-it-all — nobody went hungry —
and Central Battery is still alive & kickin'!!

So, to all of you who are our customers now — thank you for your business & support over-the-years: It's been great helping each other out.
